auryx is a Cambridge-based healthtech company building a platform that turns the microphones already inside everyday earbuds and other consumer devices into continuous health monitors. By analysing acoustic signatures from the heart, lungs and blood flow, its software extracts vital signs such as heart rate, respiratory rate, cardiac output and blood pressure without requiring additional sensors. The company spun out of more than a decade of University of Cambridge research at the intersection of machine learning and audio diagnostics.
