Five (operating as Five ID) is a London-based fintech building Europe's first commercial palm-biometric payment system, letting customers pay and apply loyalty with a single hand wave at the point of sale. Founded in 2024 by ex-Revolut payments operators Maria Marti Garcia and Thibaut, the company runs on existing card rails and integrates with retailers' POS, replacing the separate loyalty terminal in the process. Early deployments in London cafes and gyms have reported 90%+ reductions in checkout time and roughly 5% of customers switching to palm payments, with strong retention once they do.

Meatly is a UK cultivated meat company founded in 2022 that produces cell-cultivated meat for pet food. It became the first company in Europe to commercially sell cultivated meat in 2025 (a dog treat made with The Pack), and has driven down protein-free growth medium costs to GBP 0.22 per litre and reduced bioreactor costs roughly 10x. With this Series A it is building a 20,000-litre London bioreactor facility, the largest cultivated meat plant in Europe.
