About HaloBraid
Halo is a Boston-based hair-technology company building HaloBraid, a semi-autonomous braiding device that works alongside salon stylists rather than replacing them. After a stylist starts a braid by hand, the machine completes it, cutting braiding time several-fold and easing the repetitive strain on braiders. Founded by Harvard engineering alumni Yinka Ogunbiyi and David Afolabi, the company developed hundreds of prototypes before its planned salon launch.
