Superlight (Bristol Superlight) is a UK commercial electric-vehicle manufacturer that rethinks middle-mile logistics from the ground up using aerospace engineering principles. Its OV-1 electric truck swaps a heavy steel chassis for composite and aluminium construction with an all-wheel-drive, by-wire digital architecture, which the company says yields roughly 50% more cargo volume and 50% lower energy use than conventional 7.5-tonne trucks. The company also develops fleet software for predictive maintenance and logistics optimisation, and has run pilots with UK e-commerce and ground-handling operators.
