From a List to a Pipeline: The Deal Flow Board

Published: July 2026

Finding the right company was never really the hard part. You open the feed, a lead lands with a reason to act and a match against your ICP, you mark it Interested. Good. You do that a few times a day, and after two weeks you have forty companies marked Interested.

Then what?

That is where the workflow usually quietly falls apart. The Interested list grows into a wall of names. Which ones did you already email? Which one replied last Tuesday? Which one has been sitting untouched for three weeks and is about to go cold? The list does not know. It just keeps getting longer, and the work of remembering all of that moves back into your head, or into a spreadsheet, or into a CRM you have to keep fed by hand.

The Deal Flow Board closes that gap. It takes the leads you already marked Interested and turns them into a pipeline you can actually work, from first outreach to closed, without you doing any of the bookkeeping.

The board, in one look

Four stages, left to right: To Contact → Contacted → Warm → Won. Every lead you like lands on the board and moves across it as the deal moves. Drag a card to the next stage on desktop, or pick the stage from a menu on your phone.

Each column tells you the two numbers that matter at a glance: how many leads are in it, and how much funding they represent. So "my pipeline" stops being a vague feeling and becomes a figure you can read in a second.

It keeps itself up to date

This is the part that actually saves you time. You do not maintain the board. The board maintains itself off the work you were already doing.

Mark a lead Interested and it appears in To Contact, ready for your first email. Send that email and mark it Contacted, and the card moves to the Contacted column on its own. You never open a separate tool to log "I reached out." The stage you are in is just a reflection of what you have already done.

From there you nudge cards forward as deals warm up and close, and that is the only manual part, because that is the part only you know. Everything up to the first reply happens for free.

It tells you what to work today

A long list treats every name the same. A pipeline knows which ones need you now.

The board watches for the things that decide whether a deal lives or dies. A lead you contacted that has gone quiet for too long gets flagged cold, before it slips, while there is still time to send the follow-up. A deal that has been waiting on you for weeks surfaces instead of hiding in the middle of a column. And at the top of the board, a short line sums up the day: how many leads have a new signal, how many went cold, how many are still waiting. If nothing needs you, it says that too.

You stop scrolling a list wondering where to start. The board hands you the shortlist.

The signal does not stop at the pipeline edge

The reason you liked a company in the first place was a signal, a round, a hiring push, a new leader, an acquisition. Those signals do not stop firing just because the company is now sitting in your Contacted column.

So when a company you are already chasing raises again, or starts hiring into the team you sell to, the card lights up right there in your pipeline. Raised again. Now hiring. New acquisition signal. It is a fresh reason to reach back out, on an account you already care about, at the exact moment the door reopens. The lead you emailed three weeks ago and never heard back from just became worth a second email today, and you did not have to go looking for the reason.

Every company remembers its own history

Open any company on the board and you see its story: when it entered the pipeline, when it moved stages, the email you sent, the new signals that fired. You can add your own notes to it too, a call, a meeting, a quick update, so the next time you open that company, weeks later, you are not starting cold. The context is right there.

No more "did I already talk to these people, and what did we say?" The company remembers for you.

More than one pipeline, when you need it

One board is enough for most people. But if you run separate motions, a Q3 outbound push, a warm-intro list, an enterprise territory, you can spin up a named pipeline for each and keep them clean and separate. Create one, rename it, duplicate it, delete it. The same company can sit in more than one if it belongs in both.

The Deal Flow Board: Interested leads organized across To Contact, Contacted, Warm, and Won, with per-stage lead counts and pipeline value, cold-deal flags, and new-signal indicators

The full board: every Interested lead in its stage, with what needs your attention surfaced up top.

You already have a CRM's worth of pipeline here

That is the quiet point of the Deal Flow Board. The leads are already in Fundup AI. The signals are already here. The contacts, the ICP fit, the reason to reach out, all here. Adding a stage to a lead should not mean copying it into another system and keeping that system alive by hand.

So we did not build a CRM. We built the smallest, fastest thing that lets you see your pipeline and move it forward, sitting right on top of the leads you were already working. No export, no sync, no second tab.

Want to work your pipeline this way?

The Deal Flow Board is on the Growth and Scale plans. Open the dashboard, go to your Interested leads, and switch to the Board tab. Everything you have already marked Interested is waiting there, ready to move.
